Check out this “getting ready to go out” glimpse of Matt’s maternal aunt Judy and uncle Jerry Chapman. They look dressed up and ready for some fun!
The processing date for this is Jan 1984, and I think I detect some Christmas-decor on the door — so perhaps this is Dec of 1983, where Judy would be 42 years old and Jerry 44 years old — which is similar to my own current vintage. Like Jerry, I like to rock the beard-look from time to time — but his Amish-style, mandible-limited display is one for the books here — and certainly unique as I don’t recall him doing it again thereafter. Perhaps this was a Christmas party for work?
Other cool details here — the wood ‘C’ for Chapman, crafted by Jerry’s shop, and I recall others distributed amongst the family at the time. There’s also angel figurines atop the tele. Judy’s ring has a nice shine to it here with the camera flash as well.
I did the “enhance” processing on their faces — results have some artifacts, but I thought were still kinda cool:
- Any specifics about the event here?
- Favorite date-night type memories for the couple?
- What were some great spots for an evening out in Lodi and the surrounding area circa 60’s-80’s?
