This week’s photo take us about 50 years into the past, and shows us the growing-up, four children of Tom and Annmarie (Joyce) Jordan. Tom was the younger brother of Erin’s maternal grandfather, so this set of kids are cousins to Erin’s mother, Meg and all of her sibs.
The two boys are Daniel (I believe the one on the left) and Sean (on the right), while the older girl is Mary Ann and the younger, Cecily. We get to meet the family dog and everyone hanging out in this flower-couch living room scene is mid-laughter, which gives it a more candid (and un-“posed”) quality.
I estimated early 70’s, with Cecily (’61) appearing about 10 years old to my eye.
I believe the family mostly lived in and around the San Francisco area.
A colorization attempt though MyHeritage gives a respectable, though imperfect result — I find the algorithm leans heavily into purplish hues for many of these black and white photos.
