The boogie night is young and it’s time to head out to the school dance. Slide into your finest 70’s formal-wear and join this crew for some disco fever — can you cats dig it?
Okay — so that’s my seriously contrived Friday evening slang effort– but please enjoy this shot of Scott Jordan — in the white/brown tux — Erin’s maternal uncle. His date has chosen a toga-like dress and smiles as she bares her right shoulder adjacent to his yellow-rose boutonniere. The other couple is also ready for some fun — a well-combed fro atop the young lad on the left, with sky blue ruffles poking out mid-chest and what looks like a class-ring on his right ringfinger. His date is busting out in laughter, presumably after a quip from the photographer and looks similar enough to potentially be a sister to the other girl.
Some fun details here — the wood paneled room is certainly of the time. There’s a sternwheeler river/lake-boat painting above the hearth of the fireplace.
So I’ll need some help with identifying info on this one. No help was written on the physical photo. I’m estimating 1976 — perhaps prom/homecoming? — Scott about 17 years old? Who might the other people be? Who’s house is this? I GPS tag all the photos in my archive, so if anyone has the address of the home, it’d be awesome.
