This shot of Meg (Jordan) Pickett hugging her daughter, Erin (my wife!), almost crosses generations for me, because I could just as easily photograph her hugging my oldest — and very similarly aged — daughter Olivia, with that same exact smile and joy.
Wait… I think I’ll do just that:
There are some fun details around — I think I can see stained glass in the window. There’s a wooden chess board in front. A stuffed ?bear is nearby in front of the basket. The nature design on the couch cloth and wooden backing is very reminiscent of the 70s/80s.
For dating, I assumed around 1987 given Erin’s appearance of around 9 years (similarity to my daughter Olivia), but suspect could be +/- 2 years from that. Summer looks probable based on dress.
Erin identified this as being taken in the 2nd Street house, her family home of the time.
We’ll simply describe it as representing home life, unless a particular occasion is recalled.
