I don’t remember watching it as it happened. I know I saw it though because they showed it many times. I was at Bowling Green State University on July 20th 1969. I started college two weeks after graduating High School. I started Summer quarter. We didn’t have a television in our dorm room, we had to go to the lounge on our floor to watch TV. Oh yes, we were all busting our buttons with national pride over the moon landing. However, by that time, the NASA missions had become a little blase and now run together in our memories unless we had some direct connection. Watching grainy, fuzzy, snowy black and white small screen TV was a pain. People just did not have the time or patience to sit out all the launch delays even if they weren’t in school or working.
