So we return to our featured image — a grand American family now!
We now have some context of the original family of 7 children and their appearances growing up. It’s easier to identify everyone, aged further and here estimated to be in Spring of 1924. There are many new children and grandchildren in the mix.
You can start again with Eunice, easily picked out as the elder and seated in the central row alongside five of her children. She was now widowed as her husband John, died 2 years prior in 1922.

Next we find the original 7 children again listed in order from oldest to youngest
Cora, age 55 Charlotte, age 53 Melvin, age 51 Orland, age 47 Jesse, age 44 Burt, age 40 Carrie, age 38
Then we find spouses:
Irvin Broadsword, 56y, husband of Cora Grace Sweet, 48y, wife of Melvin Mary Belle Hogan, 48y, wife of Orland Ethel Underwood, 40y, wife of Jesse Bertha VanMeter, 41y, wife of Burt
Charlotte is single and Carrie is single here, divorced from her husband Elmer Weimer.
Then you can identify the present grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cora’s twins Edythe and Ethyl are again present here — now identifiable with their husbands and children:

In part 4, we will continue to identify the children/grandchildren!
